You Inspire Me….

Hi Everyone
Well over at the Craft Stamper Magazine blog, my name was drawn out to win some of Kim Costello’s photo polymer stamps and I chose these:
Spritz and Speckles/Just Because

From these stamps I created:

I started by using gesso all over a plastic picture frame I purchased from a jumble sale for £1.  Then used acrylic metallic paint and my finger to daub, grey and bronze onto the etching around the frame.

I then used watercolour paper and spritzed my Ranger, Dylusions, and Mica sprays in browns all over the paper and added Dylusions white spray over the top for a misty and aged look.  I then let it dry.

I then used Kim’s stamps on the background with memento inks.  BECAUSE was stamped out and heat set with WOW clear embossing powder, then cut out and aged by taking a pair on scissors and distressing around the cut out word. The other words ‘you inspire me’ were stamped onto the background paper, under the larger word.

The cogs are from the Tim Holtz Alterations ‘Gadget Gears’ and were painted with H2O’s then run through an embossing folder.  I added black ink to the raised embossed areas and rubbed it off with a dry cloth, again to give an aged look.
I have used a bottle top with a stamped image of a woman’s face inside, cork flower made with Tim Holtz Tattered Flower die, old watch face and hand, embellishments of a pair of scissors, peg, metal butterfly, Tim Holtz brass pin and a small cotton reel.
Pop over to Kim’s blog for more ideas and techniques together with her range of stamps to purchase.
I am also entering this into the following challenges:
Hope I have inspired you to visit some jumble sales and charity shops!
Sue
